Parklane is a highly regarded, aspirational special school which caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and youngsters with a diagnosis of autism.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint caring and reliable break and lunch time supervisors to join our dedicated team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs helping to create a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include supervising students in dining and outdoor areas, providing personal care where required, including supporting pupils with hygiene and feeding needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
The role requires patience, empathy and strong communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
Working with children particularly with additional needs, an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures is desirable, but a genuine commitment to supporting young people is essential.
