Client Overview: Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer bringing recognizable household brands to the UK market. Due to maternity leave within the team, we are partnering to recruit a Product Manager on a 12-month fixed-term basis for the UK business. The role is based in Camberley with a hybrid working model, including two days of home-working per week.
Your New Role
As Product Manager, you will oversee a selection of brands and all products within those brands. You will act as the product guardian, managing products from NPD through the stage-gate process, launching new products, and managing in-life product requirements.
* Drive and support the brand's long-term direction and marketing strategies across categories.
* Enhance brands locally and internationally by launching insights-driven NPD and aligning marketing strategies and communications with brand vision.
* Maintain the brand portfolio by reporting monthly against sales targets and ensuring the delivery of annual plans.
* Manage the product portfolio, including formulations, packaging, brands, formats, regulatory support, and technical knowledge.
* Collaborate with the communications team to deliver successful product communications according to the plan.
* Execute projects through the NPD stage-gate process.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Previous commercial experience in Product Management is essential, including NPD, stage-gate processes, forecasting, SKU management, product launches, retailer visits, artwork briefing, and sales documentation. You should have:
* Experience in a consumer goods (B2C) environment.
* Experience across marketing mix elements, especially Brand Management, Portfolio Management, and NPD.
* Strong commercial skills and broad business knowledge, with a proven track record of contributing to business growth.
* Experience launching new products and working cross-functionally with sales teams and retailers.
What You'll Get in Return
