Job Purpose
We are looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate tax team in Tunbridge Wells. The purpose of your role will be to manage your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be business development of existing and new clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of compliance cases and complex advisory cases while maintaining exceptional client service
* Identifying opportunities within client portfolios and engaging in business development activities
* Staff management and development, including appraisals and monitoring performance
* Providing on-the-job training for junior staff
* Participating in marketing and PR opportunities
* Ensuring procedures follow relevant guidance from institutes and HMRC
* Personal development in technical and other skills
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Significant corporate tax experience within the profession and/or industry
* Ability to manage complex client work as a technically capable tax adviser
* Experience in managing people and clients
* Existing business development skills and motivation to grow business
* Project management experience
* Experience dealing with senior stakeholders internally and externally
Professional Qualifications and Education
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent
