The Role ofU15U16Head Coach &Upper Youth Development PhaseLead
The successfulcandidate will lead the coaching for the U15 & 16 combinedgroup to enable the team to achieve maximum development bothindividually and collectively. Although your main priority is tolead the coaching for the required age group it is important thatthe team plays in the Brentford FC style and it is also essentialthat you work to the developmental needs of the individuals. Youare also required develop the knowledge of the assistant coach andbecome part of a coaching department that looks to share knowledgefor the benefit of each other. You may also be required to workwith other Academy age groups as and when required.
Main Accountabilities U15U16 HeadCoach
To lead the U15/ U16s tomotivate and develop the individual players to enable them to wingames whilst working within the Clubs coaching philosophy and styleof play framework.
Form positive relationshipswith players and motivate them towards achieving their potentialensuring their wellbeing and holisticdevelopment.
To have the ability to identifyindividual strengths and unacceptable weaknesses with the abilityto apply appropriate coaching and tactical development tailored tothe individual player.
To work with the AssistantCoach to implement individual development plans for your designatedage group squad whilst having an age specific understanding oftechnical tactical physical psychological development andidentifying ageappropriate teaching.
Providefeedback to players both formally through the PerformanceManagement Application (PMA) individual meetings IDP reviews whilstalso fully integrating key stakeholders into the process.
To understand and produce key programs to enableindividual players to successfully transition from the age group toage group in line with the Clubs footballingphilosophy.
To lead the retain and releaseprocess within the MDT or part of the phase.
Toensure the cohesion conflict resolution and management of theindividual players to ensure high quality professional standardsand a positive team ethic are maintained at alltimes.
Ensure any contact and interaction withplayers complies with the Clubs Safeguarding Policy and that anyconcerns are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriatechannels.
To work cooperatively with all academystaff and to maintain relationships with the players and their keystakeholders.
To develop and maintain effectiveparent relationships to enhance the playersdevelopment.
To liaise with the scouting andrecruitment department for the selection ofplayers.
To work in line with the strategy ofEPPP as agreed by the Club.
To lead the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to provide a holistic development plan forthe individual players.
To complete all clubadministrative duties in line with EPPP auditrequirements.
Attend all relevant coaching CPDevents both internally and external at the request of the Head ofFootball Development.
Help to ensure the Academyis continually achieving the standards required to retain itscategory status within the EPPP guidelines.
Anyother relevant tasks and duties as directed by senior Academy orFootball Departmentmanagement.

* To work as part ofa coaching leadership group to undertake periodical reviews of thefootball programme for U8 U21 ages to ensure it delivers to theobjectives of the Academy as set by the Academy Director.
* Work with the CoachingLeadership Group to ensure the academy football programme isaligned and delivers the technical position specific skillsrequired for players at BrentfordFC.
* Work closely with theHead of Football Development to ensure a smooth transition for boysas they move through the academy age groups.
* ToMentor selected coach / es within the upper YDP age groups toensure they deliver the academy football coaching programme in linewith the Brentford FCs specific methodology playing style andobjectives.
* Provide input into thedecisionmaking processes for recruitment retain release andscholarship offers across the entire pathway.
* To represent the coaching department atrelevant meetings events working groups and external stakeholders.
General ClubAccountabilities
* Toensure compliance with all relevant Club policies includingsafeguarding health and safety policies and with specific referenceto the data regulations.
* To ensure compliancewith the Clubs Code of Conduct.
* To ensurecompliance with all relevant legal regulatory ethical and socialrequirements.
