What You’ll Do
* Assist the team to manage dedicated services for key VBSE stakeholders, primarily regarding third line solutions to equipment issues
* Work effectively with stakeholders in relation to deployment and ongoing support for given projects
* Make innovative recommendations to VBSE management and stakeholders to drive improvements
* Work closely with the project team to provide regular updates
* Carry out analytical diagnostics on the network
* Liaise with wider parties to coordinate end‑end process
* Point of contact for major incidents and carry out problem management, escalating when necessary
Who You’re A Fit
* Understanding of transmission equipment and networks such as Ciena – Essential
* Previous experience working in a field‑based network engineering role – Essential
* Understanding of ITIL working practices – Essential
* Basic concept of IP networking, switching and routing – Essential
* A clear and analytical approach to problem management
* The ability to work in a high‑pressurised environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of technical documentation, such as network Visio diagram – Nice to have
Security Clearance: UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance required
