The position of Class 1 Day Driver involves:
1. Delivering of specialist parts and equipment on behalf of our client to keep their local depots fully stocked, ready for them to complete planned maintenance work.
2. Working on a set delivery rota with known destinations and depots.
3. Loading/unloading of vehicle using a Counterbalance forklift truck (training provided), ensuring load security.
4. Completing daily pre and post vehicle checks.
5. Putting stock away at the delivery depots, either by hand or using a forklift.
6. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer’s expectations.
7. You may be required to spend the occasional night out a week (tax free allowance paid).
8. Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Day Driver:
9. Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
10. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
11. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
12. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
13. Working to deadlines.
14. Confident, polite and a team player.
15. Good geographical knowledge.
16. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

18. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, starting between 05:00hrs and 06:00hrs.
