Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you an adaptable and nurturing Teaching Assistant with a passion for working with Early Years and Key Stage 1?
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school, supporting children across Reception, Nursery, and Year 2. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, ideal for someone confident in working flexibly across age groups and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
About the Role:
This position involves working 2:1 with two children with Down Syndrome and limited verbal communication, primarily within Reception and Nursery. In the afternoons, you may also provide classroom support in Year 2. Your role will focus on building communication, inclusion, and engagement for all learners, particularly those with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering targeted 2:1 support to pupils with Down Syndrome and limited speech.
Supporting with communication strategies, including visual aids and non-verbal communication.
Assisting children in accessing the Early Years and KS1 curriculum.
Creating a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Working collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to implement support plans.
Supporting the Year 2 class in the afternoons as needed.Candidate Requirements:
Experience working in Nursery or Key Stage 1 settings.
Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with limited or non-verbal communication.
A calm, caring, and patient approach to support.
Strong understanding of early childhood development and inclusive education practices.
A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Teaching Support is desirableWhy Work with Us:
