Overview
Wellness Strength Training is a private facility based in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Since we opened in 2011 we have specialised in providing high quality small group coached training for youth aged 9 to 18 years old and adults generally aged 35+, helping them move well, feel good and live healthier with training that doesn't beat up their bodies, keeps them safe and can be done long-term. We are also the provider of the Strength and Performance programme for the Leigh Leopards Women's Rugby League team who compete in the Women's Super League.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Strength & Performance Coach located in Leigh. With hours split between mornings and evenings including Saturday morning.
The Strength & Performance Coach will be responsible for coaching both our youth strength and performance programme and our adult small group training programs.
Other tasks will include programming, customer management and retention tasks, updating youth and adults lift data. Setting up and putting away equipment for sessions.
Each week there will be a Coaches team meeting and a one to one meeting with the owner which will include in-house learning and personal development.
Responsibilities
* Coaching youth strength and performance programme and adult small group training programs.
* Programming, customer management and retention tasks.
* Updating lift data for youth and adults.
* Setting up and putting away equipment for sessions.
* Participating in weekly coaches team meetings and one-to-one meetings with the owner for learning and development.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Athletic Performance, Strength & Conditioning with youth plus working with general population adults.
* Proficiency in coaching.
* Excellent communication and motivational skills.
* Ability to work effectively with clients of all fitness levels.
* Relevant certifications in fitness and coaching.
* A degree in Strength & Conditioning or related field would be beneficial.
