Overview
Undergraduate Naval Ships Manufacturing Engineer – 6 months. Location: Govan (Glasgow). Salary: £24,300. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are offered, but for this role you will be expected to attend site 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Influence the design to ensure it is in line with current and evolving manufacturing capability.
* Develop the manufacturing capability and technology (including IT) to ensure the design requirement can be met.
* Translate the Engineering Design intent (Drawings, standards etc.) into Manufacturing Engineering data for use in Operations.
* Ensure that Manufacturing Engineering output meets all the relevant Safety and Quality requirements.
* Generate and progress Manufacturing Engineering output in-line with Project / Programme requirements.
* Define and execute emergent work affecting manufacture, fabrication or construction.
Qualifications
* As a minimum, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Engineering Management, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
