Recruitment Solutions is recruiting for an experienced HSE & construction Site Safety Advisor to join a third-party client on a temporary basis. This assignment is expected to last until the end of May, with the potential to be extended for the right individual.
This role involves providing expert Health & Safety guidance across all phases of construction projects. The successful candidate will support compliance with CDM 2015 and relevant building regulations while promoting safe and effective working practices.
The position is advertised by Recruitment Solutions, who are acting solely as the recruitment agency and not the employer. The role will be with an unnamed third-party company. This is a mobile role covering Hull, Leeds, Newcastle, and surrounding areas, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with the possibility of some weekend work.

About the role
5. As an HSE & construction Site Safety Advisor, you will provide professional Health & Safety support throughout the construction project lifecycle. Your role will involve working closely with site and client teams to ensure standards are upheld from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities include supporting the review of risk assessments, construction phase plans, and site welfare arrangements. You will conduct audits, inspections, and compliance evaluations, driving corrective actions and supporting continuous improvement across sites.
The role also involves assisting with incident investigations and ensuring lessons learned are shared effectively. You will help maintain ISO accreditations, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, while contributing to inclusive policies that support both mental and physical wellbeing.
As an HSE & construction Site Safety Advisor, you will collaborate with client HSEQ&W teams to deliver contractual obligations and foster strong working relationships. You will engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, offering technical Health & Safety input and ensuring regulatory standards are consistently met. Trend analysis of near misses and site issues will form part of your reporting responsibilities to help identify potential behavioural risks.
About you
6. To succeed as an HSE & construction Site Safety Advisor, you will be qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety as a minimum. You will have a thorough understanding of HSQE systems and processes aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
You must have proven knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an understanding of SharePoint. A strong working knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations is essential, including the duties of clients, principal contractors, and principal designers.
You will demonstrate the ability to think and respond effectively to immediate issues without compromising long-term objectives. A high standard of personal integrity, professionalism, and adaptability is required, along with a minimum of three years’ experience in construction.
