Property Accountant Our FTSE-listed client in the real estate and investment industry are looking for a new Property Accountant to join their team in London. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a key position where you will take ownership of the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of properties. Key responsibilities: Manage all financial matters related to your property portfolio. Produce month‑end management accounts, including VAT, bank and control account reconciliations. Ensure full understanding and accurate reporting of rent, service charge and recovery fund balances each month. Oversee property cashflows to ensure timely supplier payments. Review service charge compliance and support process improvements. Raise income demands in line with internal timetables. Prepare quarterly accounts for management companies and reconcile variances. Resolve or escalate issues promptly and provide ad‑hoc analysis when required. Support the setup of new sites and contribute to departmental targets and deadlines. Work with Accounts Payable and other accounting teams to clear outstanding service charge void invoices. The ideal candidate will be an experience Service-Charge/Property Accountant, with exposure of accounting in a commercial property environment. The client is looking for someone with strong technical ability and communication skills to support the wider operational finance function and partner with on site teams.
