At JCT600, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to shape an inclusive, positive and high‑performing culture, we’re looking for a Colleague Relations Specialist to join our People Team and play a key role in supporting colleagues and leaders across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ER professional who thrives on making a real impact — supporting managers to be their best, enabling fair and consistent people practices, and ensuring our working environment reflects our values and people ambition.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and managing complex ER casework end-to-end — including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, conflict resolution, performance issues, absence management and organisational change — ensuring fair, values‑aligned and legally compliant outcomes.
* Coaching, advising and developing managers to build capability, improve decision‑making, and create positive, inclusive working environments aligned to JCT600 values.
* Providing commercially sound, solutions‑focused ER guidance, identifying risks and emerging trends, supporting escalated cases (including ACAS, ET3 responses and Employment Tribunal bundles), and protecting the company’s reputation.
* Driving continuous improvement by maintaining accurate ER trackers and MI, analysing data to spot patterns, and leading on policy development, process enhancements and colleague/manager guidance.
* Delivering ER‑related training and value‑adding projects that strengthen ER capability across the business and support wider People strategy priorities.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is people‑centred, commercially minded and driven to make a positive impact. You’ll bring the energy, skill and attitude to help us maintain a fair, inclusive and high‑performing workplace.
* Proven experience managing complex ER casework with commercial awareness.
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice. Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build capability in others.
* A customer‑centric approach, delivering high‑quality service to both colleagues and leaders.
* Strong relationship‑building abilities and a collaborative mindset.
* The confidence to be both diplomatic and assertive when needed.
* Exceptional verbal, written and digital communication skills.
* High levels of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
* A full UK driving licence with no excessive penalties.
What We Offer
* 34 days annual leave (rising with service)
* Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
* Life assurance, pension & enhanced sickness cover
* Ongoing training & development through brand partners and JCT600 Academies
Why JCT600?

* We pride ourselves on being rated highly by colleagues for engagement and inclusivity
* Our commitment to your growth is reflected in our “Life at JCT600” philosophy and seven colleague commitments
