Fleet Coordinator Transport & Plant Compliance A well-established surfacing and civil engineering contractor based in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Fleet Coordinator to manage and maintain compliance across a busy operational fleet. The company delivers surfacing and infrastructure works across commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors and operates a large mixed fleet consisting of: 15+ HGVs 15+ Vans 20+ Items of Plant & Equipment The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles and plant remain fully compliant, roadworthy, and operational in line with transport legislation and company procedures. Key Responsibilities: Managing fleet compliance documentation and renewal schedules including: Vehicle Tax Insurance PSV / DOE requirements MOT bookings Thorough Examination Certificates LOLER / PUWER records Tachograph and O Licence records Service and inspection documentation Monitoring daily vehicle and plant inspections through digital tracking and pre-start systems Scheduling preventative maintenance and defect repairs Liaising with mechanics, workshop staff, and management to maximise fleet uptime and compliance Maintaining accurate digital maintenance and compliance records Coordinating servicing, inspections, breakdowns, and repairs Ensuring drivers complete daily walkaround checks correctly Assisting with audits and compliance inspections Monitoring fuel usage and overall fleet performance Planning and coordinating low loader plant movements and overseeing logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials Essential Requirements 35 years experience in a similar fleet, transport, or plant coordination role Strong understanding of fleet compliance and transport regulations within Northern Ireland Experience managing maintenance schedules and compliance systems Strong organisational and administrative skills Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively Competent in the use of digital fleet management and tracking systems Desirable Requirements Full clean driving licence Knowledge of commercial vehicle workshop operations Experience with plant and transport compliance systems CPC qualification advantageous but not essential Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Full-time permanent opportunity Opportunity to join a growing operations Company pension and additional benefits 30 days fixed holidays On-site parking
