We are looking for a Team Leader to effectively manage and drive a team of Property Managers, ensuring company standards are met and excellent customer service is provided. This role is based at Walmsley's Caversham branch.
Key responsibilities as a Team Leader
Your main duties will include overseeing and supporting property managers, assisting senior staff in achieving targets, and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
* Manage team performance and conduct monthly 1-2-1 meetings with Property Managers
* Review portfolio reports to ensure KPIs are met
* Hold weekly and ad-hoc team meetings to discuss procedures and standards
* Assist in daily operations of the property management team
* Ensure compliance tasks are up-to-date according to company policies and legislation
* Train and develop team members
* Maintain strong communication with the branch network and facilitate good relationships
* Support the manager with recruitment and interviewing of new staff
Skills and experience required as a Team Leader
Applicants should have a background in residential lettings, property management, estate agency, or experience in negotiating insurance claims, contracts, and mediation. Holding ARLA 1 or a Lettings Technical Award is required.
* Experience managing a portfolio of residential properties (Essential)
* At least 6 months experience supervising or managing staff (Desirable)
* Knowledge of lettings and property management legislation (Essential)
* Ability to work under pressure (Essential)
* Strong problem-solving skills (Essential)
* Experience with Propco or similar property management software (Desirable)
