MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
6 months FTC- Grangemouth
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical support to the terminal through ensuring that all mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are suitably planned, actioned and/or mitigated. While you ensure that maintenance is planned and executed in line with company expectations, policies, procedures and guidance you will also be supporting plant operations whilst maximizing plant availability through effective best practice maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Required to plan & arrange plant shutdowns, Kick Off meetings where required
2. Liaise with company & external Technical Authorities with regard to failure modes & appropriate corrective actions
3. Assist with Continuous improvement activities and initiatives.
4. Assist with the production and review of maintenance processes, documentation and procedures in line with relevant standards & good practice
5. Ensure third party contract maintenance is appropriately controlled
6. Assist Exolum stakeholders with Technical & Operational advice and support, assist with project completion where required
7. Partake in &/ or lead appropriate RCA techniques in order to minimise repeat failures
8. Assist with the operation and maintenance of remote enclosures & pumping stations
9. Ensure compliance to company KPIs
10. Implement improvement programs and plans where and ensure reliability and engineering standards are understood and adhered to.
11. May be required to plan, manage & deliver small capitol project works
About You
The successful candidate will be a time served mechanical maintenance technician you will possess a relevant apprenticeship with associated qualifications and preferably a mechanical COMPEX qualification. With significant industrial experience in mechanical equipment and systems you will have worked as part of or led a maintenance team and be proficient in mechanical isolations and safe systems of work.
