About Us
We are a well-established HVAC contractor specialising in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Ventilation, operating across the North of England with dedicated Service and Projects divisions.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead our Service division, overseeing 20+ engineers and holding full operational and P&L responsibility.
This is a senior leadership position within the business, offering autonomy, strategic input, and genuine progression opportunities.

The Role
You will take full ownership of the Service department, including:
* Leadership and management of 20+ HVAC Service Engineers
* Full P&L responsibility for the Service division
* Driving revenue growth, margin performance, and cost control
* Overseeing PPM contracts and reactive maintenance delivery
* Resource planning, workforce optimisation, and recruitment
* Monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and service performance metrics
* Client relationship management and contract retention
* Ensuring compliance with H&S and F-Gas regulations
* Developing systems, processes, and operational efficiency
* Supporting business development and service contract growth

* Split & Multi-Split Air Conditioning Systems
* VRF / VRV Systems
* Chillers (Air & Water Cooled)
* Close Control / CRAC Units
* AHUs & Ventilation Systems
* Refrigeration Plant (Cold Rooms & Pack Systems)
* Heat Recovery Systems (MVHR)
* BMS-integrated plant

Skills & Experience Required
* Strong operational leadership experience within HVAC Service
* Previous Service Manager / Operations Manager experience
* Proven P&L management and commercial accountability
* Experience managing 15+ engineers (20+ desirable)
* Strong financial acumen (margin control, forecasting, budgeting)
* Experience with service contract growth and renewals
* Excellent organisational and workforce planning capability
* Client-facing and commercially confident
* Strong understanding of compliance and H&S regulations
* IT competent (CRM / service management systems / reporting)
* Full UK Driving Licence
