Job overview The Catering Department at St Mary's Hospital are currently looking for an experienced and innovative Chef to assist in the provision of the daily production of 680 patient meals and 350 staff and visitor meals. Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be involved in delivering bespoke menus to improve customer satisfaction, with a view to increasing Trust income. You will also be involved with:- • Delivering desserts and cakes for patients and restaurant • Delivering core patient meals, including texture modified diets • Preparation of meats, vegetables, soups and sauces • Evening patient meals and staff / visitor service You’ll be working in a busy industrial kitchen, exposed to heat, cold, and noise daily. The role is physically demanding, you’ll be on your feet throughout your shift and will need excellent manual dexterity
