The Global Reward Team sits in abrdn's HR function and is responsible for developing and embedding a compensation and recognition framework that attracts, motivates and retains employees. The team currently has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Remuneration Analyst to provide support on all executive remuneration matters, including the delivery of remuneration regulation reporting and disclosures, supporting the planning process of the annual cycle of meetings and drafting Remuneration Committee papers. This role is critical to the Executive Remuneration Team and would equally suit an individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills who is looking for a change in career and exposure to Reward or someone with existing experience in Reward. The core responsibilities are centred around proactively and diligently supporting the Executive Remuneration team across (but not limited to) the following aspects of the Remuneration Committee (Committee) cycle and executive remuneration: Coordinate and contribute to the planning process for the annual cycle of Committee meetings Produce Committee papers and Committee meeting minutes and coordinate the review process of Committee papers and meeting minutes across key stakeholders Deliver remuneration disclosures and reporting under the relevant remuneration regulations (IFPR, IFD, AIFMD and UCITS V) Contribute to the preparation of the annual Directors' Remuneration Report and Directors' Remuneration Policy reviews Support the team on broader executive remuneration matters (e.g. managing the application of remuneration regulations for Identified Staff through the calculation of regulatory deferral and retention, supporting on executive hires/exits remuneration packages, supporting on AGM preparation and shareholder engagement etc.) Own the process for uploading and managing Committee papers on the Board portal and be a reliable point of contact for addressing practical team matters and follow-up questions linked to Committee meetings Establish rapport and coordinate effectively with colleagues across the Global Reward function (Colleague Reward, Share Plans, HR Regulations, Benefits & Pensions) to secure required input Keep abreast of the evolving remuneration and governance regulatory landscape Be flexible and open to challenging tasks to resolve issues within deadlines Minimum requirements for this role: Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong written communication skills Good planning and project management skills Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Proactive and results orientated with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and problem-solving complex issues Desirable: Prior experience working in executive remuneration in house or in a consulting firm Knowledge (particularly in the context of Investment Management) of remuneration regulations and the executive remuneration governance landscape We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
