Commercial Litigation Attorney - Richmond
Sands Anderson PC, a well-established Mid-Atlantic law firm with deep roots in Virginia’s business and government communities, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigator to join our Richmond office.
We are looking for an attorney who brings sharp analytical skills, sound judgment, and a practical approach to resolving complex business disputes. Our ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, comfortable managing client relationships, and motivated to grow within a firm that values professionalism, collaboration, and long‑term client trust.
Responsibilities
* Represent business clients in state and federal courts across Virginia and the Mid‑Atlantic region.
* Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
* Provide strategic counsel to clients on dispute avoidance, risk management, and litigation strategy.
* Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive client service.
* Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives aligned with the firm’s strategic growth goals.
Qualifications
* J.D. from an accredited law school.
* Active Virginia Bar membership (or eligibility for prompt admission).
* 10 or more years of experience in commercial litigation or related civil litigation practice.
* Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
* A practical, client‑centered approach to problem‑solving and litigation strategy.
