General Purpose
Perform a variety of maintenance duties with specialization in the area of general maintenance and basic maintenance of facility and grounds.
Responsibilities
* Maintain business property and outside grounds – clean front of shop and overhead doors (pad as needed), clean along fencing and remove all debris, perform weed control in summer and snow removal in winter, maintain parking lot as needed, provide rodent and pest control, and perform other miscellaneous duties
* Ensure all repairs are documented
* Complete work orders as assigned (general repairs, etc.)
* Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
* Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
* Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
* Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity.
* Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge shop tools and hand tools
* Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork
* Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
* Able to demonstrate abilities to perform in a safe, positive, systematic fashion
* Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English
* Able to climb and work off ladders safely
* Able to paint
