Derby College Group (DCG) is seeking 3 SEND Caseworkers to manage and coordinate the college’s response to EHCP consultations and act as a key link between the college and Local Authorities (LAs). The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable professional to lead the coordination of the college’s response to EHCP consultations and act as the main liaison with Local Authorities and external education providers. You will provide case management and specialist support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring a smooth transition into college and promoting inclusive planning. You will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate communication around placements, provision, and statutory duties, while supporting the college’s compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
About You
You have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience with the post-16 EHCP consultation process. You are skilled in working with Local Authorities, can interpret EHCPs, and contribute to placement decisions effectively. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, manage deadlines well, and maintain accurate records. With a SEND-specific qualification, you are confident using data systems and adapting resources to support an inclusive learning environment. Experience supporting learners with a range of needs and using EHCP portals is desirable.
