Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager for a newly refurbished nursery in Winchester, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager or an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to take the next step in their career.
As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, while also providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive. This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000, with a September start date.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the highest standards of care and education
Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the nursery meets regulatory requirements and exceeds expectations
Building strong relationships with parents, children, and the local community, promoting the nursery and its services
Managing budgets, resources, and administrative tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of the nursery
Maintaining a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience as a Deputy or Manager or similar leadership role in a nursery setting
A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A passion for providing high-quality childcare and education
