The Client Engagement Manager (CEM) is responsible for assisting with the company’s client coverage. Working directly for the Head of EMEA Client Engagement, the CEM will enhance the revenue and growth ambitions of the Company by supporting day-to-day client engagement and driving business development with the existing client base.
Requirements
The primary responsibility of the CEM is to improve client relationship management efforts, including hands-on relationship management with key clients. Contribute to ensuring excellence and consistency in service delivery across our EMEA client base, including working with relevant teams to optimise processes. Originate revenue opportunities and manage deals from inception to conclusion, through proactive cross- and up-selling amongst our existing client base.
* Client Coverage: Assume day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of existing clients acting as a senior point of contact and helping to maintaining the highest levels of service delivery across all Validus teams.
* Sales Origination: Proactively seek out and arrange sales meetings with existing clients for the range of Validus service offerings.
* Deal Origination: As part of the deal process, project managing internal teams for deal mandate pitching and presenting to clients where appropriate.
* Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects from inception to conclusion, working alongside colleagues from Advisory, Global Capital Markets and Technology teams.
* Business Strategy: Contribute to developing growth strategies and improvements to our sales processes globally utilising feedback from existing and prospective clients.
* Innovation: Proactively identifying potential issues or areas of improvement and suggesting solutions to these.
Performance KPIs
Within 1 month:
o Become familiar with Validus clients, marketing materials & client engagement plans
Within 3 months:
o Become familiar with the internal infrastructure to ensure the client engagement cycle can be delivered effectively and efficiently
o Assist in 3 qualified cross- and up-selling engagements (live deals we’re asked to quote on)
Within 6 months:
o Assist in 6 qualified cross- and up-selling engagements (live deals we’re asked to quote on)
Within 12 months:
o Produced £500k in revenue
Required Skills
* Experience in FX hedging and execution
* Exposure and experience to private capital fund managers
* Proven track record of client engagement and relationship management
* Based in London
* European language skills desirable
