Commercial Analyst – Central Europe

Contract Duration: 6-9 months fixed-term contract
Responsible to: Commercial Finance Manager
Department: Finance
Location: JD Group Head Office, Bury, BL9 8RR
Hours: 40 hrs per week
Responsibilities
* Production and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly commercial reporting for the region.
* Assist with the budget and reforecast process for all entities in the Central Europe region.
* Provide financial input into strategic long term planning.
* Collate payroll data across all Central Europe markets and distribute weekly/monthly reports.
* Assist with the preparation of quarterly bonus calculations.
* Support in analysis and reporting for Europe and ensure consistency in process across all EU markets.
* Develop and maintain financial models, ensuring data is accurate, complete and maintained regularly for all Central Europe markets.
* Management of timelines and submissions in line with Group Finance deadlines and agreed timelines with stakeholders.
* Active involvement in design, development and maintenance of new reports, identifying trends and issues.
* Support the finance team with other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as and when required.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed
* Essential
* Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
* Excel (intermediate)
* IT literate
* Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong time management skills
* Self-motivated, willingness to learn and work with initiative
* Desirable
* Experience working in retail
