High Net Worth includes the discretionary fund management business, Quilter Cheviot, together with Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning.

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Thisis an 8-weeksummerinternship sittingwithin theChief OperatingOffice(COO)as part of theAICentreof Excellence(AI COE), a team dedicated to driving innovation and best practices in AI and Data Science across the organisation.

As an AppliedAIIntern, you will:

1. Build and Experiment:Take part in the full lifecycle of model developmentfrom design and implementation to testing and deploymentanddelivering robust, high-quality solutions.

2. Collaborate Globally:Work within a diverse, cross-functional team and gain exposure to experts across different regions and disciplines.

3. Innovate and Learn:Curiosity is at the heart of this role.You’llhave the freedom to explorenew ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and continuously learn. Your ability to ask questions, seek knowledge, and adapt will be key to solving real-world challenges.

4. Grow with Mentorship:Receive guidance from experienced scientists and engineers, helping you sharpen your technical skills and broaden your understanding ofcutting-edgeAI/ML practices.

5. Shape the Future:Your contributions will have real impact,helping to advance solutions that address complex problems and improve user experiences.

Upon successful completion of theprogramme,you may be offered a positionon the AI2 yeargraduate programme.

This role is offering a salary of up to £30,000 (pro-rated to the duration of the internship).

Consumer Duty

Whilst thisisn’ta directly customer facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers byensuring that thecustomer is at the heart of theAIstrategy, roadmap and plans created.

About You

Qualifications

6. Final yearor recently completed aMSc/PhD programin a relevant field such asAI,Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or related disciplines.

7. All we ask is that you complete any studies before September 2026.

Knowledge

8. Knowledgeof Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning fundamentals, and AI agents.

9. Hands-on experience designing and evaluating experiments in ML or LLM contexts.

10. Familiarity with version control and collaborative coding platforms (e.g., GitHub).

11. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

12. Comfortworking with unstructured data and applying data cleaningand pre-processing techniques.

Skills

13. Proficientin programmingin Python.

14. Strong Research Skills: Ability to apply rigorous scientific methods to investigate problems, design experiments, and interpret results.

15. Conducting literature reviews to understandstate-of-the-arttechniques.

16. Translating research insights into practical solutions for real-world applications.

17. A passion for learning and a curious mindset,always eager to explore new concepts and technologies.

18. Good communicationskills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
