Location: Coventry
Compensation: £43,260 / year (realistic earning potential £50K-£55K depending on location)
Hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, OOH services 6am – 8am, 5pm – 8pm

Overview and Opportunity
We’re looking for talented and ambitious engineers to join our rapidly growing business. This is a unique opportunity to grow our field gas and electric metering capability in the commercial sector. You will upskill to deliver a range of outcomes focused on quality and safety, with customer relationships at the fore.
This role combines metering work with potential duties as a Warrant Officer, in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
* Able to install, exchange, commission, remove and maintain metering systems and related equipment and communication systems securely and safely
* Undertake friendly debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt, supported by a back-office team
* Occasionally attend warrants to resolve debt, working as part of a team (never solo)
* Deliver a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
Upskilling and Career Progression
* Upskill to: Three phase, Medium pressure, Half Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16 – U40, Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager
* Opportunity to progress to additional roles with training and mentoring
Qualifications and Experience
* Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
* Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
* Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
Desirable
* MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
* Current Transformer (CT)
* Three Phase
* REGT1-Medium Pressure
