What is the role?
· A valued member of the UK management accounting team, assisting with management accounting, forecasting and business partnering
· Providing support to the Senior Management Accountant and the rest of the management accounting team
· Helping to ensuring month and year end management accounting tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis
Providing cover for the Management Accountant in the case of holiday or sickness (where appropriate)
Month and year end responsibilities:
· Assist with the month end process, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and that accurate accruals, prepayments and other financial entries are complete. Work closely with the rest of the management accounting team to prepare and submit month-end reports as required.
· Assist with the completion of thorough and robust balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Help with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reporting.
· Assist with the preparation of year end management accounts in SAP and with the preparation of the statutory financial statements and disclosures, where required.
· Assist with the monthly intercompany process, helping to prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, posting and raising intercompany invoices and arranging intercompany payments.
· Assist with the posting of IFRS adjustments, including helping to maintain Tagetik, our tool for this, and ensuring journals post correctly and that Tagetik reconciles with SAP.
· When required, assist with the preparation of the monthly VAT return, EC sales list and Intrastat submissions – the management accounting team support the Senior Financial Accountant when required.
· When required, assist with the provision of data for the preparation of the corporation tax computation and statutory disclosures.
· Assist with the interim and year end audit processes.
Business partnering responsibilities:
· Work with the rest of the management accounting team to assist with the preparation of accurate, concise and user-friendly month end packs, including relevant and insightful variance reporting to budget and forecast for P&L and balance sheet.
· Work with the rest of the management accounting team to assist with the preparation of accurate, concise, user-friendly cost centre reviews and discuss these with cost centre managers to monitor and control costs.
· Provide support in the preparation of the yearly budgets and periodic forecasts. Work with colleagues in finance and the wider business to ensure accuracy.
· Ad hoc variance reporting should also be prepared as required.

The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Basingstoke. They must be UK based for the interview process. Back Ground checks will be completed which will include a DBS check. We do not offer sponsorship for this role
