This role is part of Affinity Water's legal team, reporting to the Senior Regulatory Counsel within the Finance & Corporate Services Directorate. The Infrastructure Projects Lawyer will work closely with the Strategic Resource Options team and business stakeholders at all levels of the company, as well as external lawyers and specialists from other water companies.

This Role
You will work at the heart of major infrastructure projects from inception through planning applications and construction. The GUC project will be the first delivered, planned completion 2032.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the SRO team, providing robust, strategic advice on all legal aspects of the project.
* Ensure planning and commercial advice is aligned and in the best interests of Affinity Water.
* Manage relationships with external solicitors to ensure robust, timely advice.
* Advise on broader commercial aspects of the SROs (collaboration agreements, bulk supply agreements, procurement and construction contracts).
Experience Required
* 5 years PQE
* Qualified solicitor or barrister
* Relevant experience providing strategic advice on major/large infrastructure projects, in-house or private practice
* Excellent legal analytical skills and close attention to detail
* High initiative and ability to drive outcomes
* Water sector, utilities/infrastructure or construction sector experience
