Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in structural steel or architectural metalwork, looking to join a specialist fabrication business with a strong reputation for quality and delivery?
Do you enjoy a varied role combining site visits, concept design and producing detailed manufacturing drawings, working on bespoke projects such as balconies, fire escapes and internal balustrades?
The company are a well-established fabrication business specialising in architectural and structural steelwork solutions.
Known for delivering high-quality bespoke metalwork, the company supports projects across construction and commercial sectors, offering a full service from design through to manufacture and installation.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a key design role, replacing a long-standing engineer, with the chance to take ownership of projects from initial survey through to production.
The Role:
* Produce concept drawings for client approval
* Develop detailed manufacturing and installation drawings
* Design structural steelwork including balconies, fire escapes and balustrades
* Liaise with production and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
The Person:
* Proven experience in mechanical or structural design
* Confident in 2D and 3D design software
