The role
As a Strategic Programme Procurement Specialist, you'll support the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and partners in delivering next-generation submarine capabilities, enhancing availability and through-life performance of in-service submarines.
Daily, you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide Babcock's in-service submarine supply chain support and expertise, ensuring strategic outcomes for the MoD.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Challenge and manage key internal stakeholders to enable transformative practices
2. Introduce innovative ideas from the supply chain
3. Oversee procurement activities and project delivery
4. Deliver and present best practice supply chain reporting, knowledge, and expertise
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements (2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home).
Essential experience
* Proven experience in strategic supply chain planning, transformation, or global sourcing
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries
* Commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain risk
* Experience in delivering supply chain improvements
Qualifications
* MCIPS accreditation or willingness to work towards this as part of Continuous Professional Development
