Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Port of Tilbury
Compensation: Salary - £37,745 + Shift allowance - £5,551 + overtime
Hours: 4 on, 4 off rotation of days and nights including weekends

About The Role
In this role as Warehouse Supervisor based at 26th Berth, you will effectively manage the people, plant, automation and other resources to achieve the shift throughout target.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, despatching, and assuring quality of goods.
* Ensuring maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
* Measure and report the effectiveness of asset / warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
* Organise and maintain inventory and storage area.
* Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
* Communicate job expectations and coach employees to ensure delivery of performance and productivity.
* Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
* Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
* Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status and peak requirements.
* Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
* Collaborating with other departments of the Port and Group to ensure timely and accurate operations in an efficient and cost effect manner.
* Support and implement company initiatives contributing to the business 5-year plan.
* Other projects or duties as necessary for the Port and wider Group business.
* Ability to operate appropriate plant and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Experience working in a unionised environment with established collective agreements
* Experience of coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse operations
* Competent in analysing inputting retrieving and analysing data
* Experience with Transporeon (Haulage management software) preferred
* Experience with SAP (systems, applications, products) preferred.
* Proficient with Microsoft 365 and warehouse management systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Skilled at building effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders
