The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in the area, and an exciting time to become a member of our successful team.

You will be responsible for managing a team of people who work across two production facilities and are directly responsible for GMP manufacture of our products. With the support of the Production Manager, your role will include overseeing the scheduled production activities, whilst ensuring health and safety standards are maintained, and the best utilisation of the teams and resources available. You will be accountable for ensuring production colleagues receive necessary training and day‑to‑day support, whilst also driving the continuous improvement activities that are assigned.

Your Responsibilities

* Ensuring people and resources are utilized in an efficient and effective manner to meet planned requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
* Monitoring team members’ performance to ensure defined manufacturing procedures are being followed that comply with quality requirements.
* Maintaining and monitoring all records required and ensuring they are accurately completed.
* Ensuring that non‑conforming materials are clearly identified and segregated.
* Overseeing escalation procedures for quality concerns and making sure they are followed when required.
* Managing the production throughput against stated capacity targets.
* Communicating important information to the team so that they are aware of day‑to‑day targets and responsibilities.
* Managing work order closures and stock control transactions.
* Maintaining visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.
* Monitoring change‑over and/or line set‑up efficiency.
* Preparing lines ready for start‑up for following shifts.
* Monitoring and maintaining all safety equipment and tools.
* Planning and ensuring execution of training and development for your team.
* Performing root cause analysis activities to resolve problems.
* Identifying business improvement opportunities within the organisation.

Your Profile

* Experience in managing and motivating a team is essential. For internal candidates where you do not have relevant experience we would conduct an assessment and, if successful, provide the necessary training to help you succeed.
* Experience in the mechanical/machine operative industry and sound knowledge.
* Formal qualifications in lean/continuous improvement are not essential but could be beneficial.
* Ideally you will have worked within a GMP‑regulated facility or similar (BRC, ISO9001, BETA NOPS).
* You must have excellent communication skills and a high level of IT literacy, in particular working with ERP systems.

Your Future Perspective

* Challenging tasks, short decision‑making processes and a high level of personal responsibility in a modern work environment with flexible work time models.
* Room for innovative thinking and growth with the possibility to manage your own career path.
* A company culture which promotes continuous learning and diversity. All colleagues can join our Women’s and Multicultural Employee Resource Groups, the ADM Pride Employee Network, the Young Professionals Network, and participate in the company‑wide mentorship programme as mentor or mentee.
* Excellent career opportunities in a world‑leading nutrition company.
* An attractive remuneration.
