As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, that will mean planning and implementing care that provides our residents with a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and influencing your team positively. Whether showing someone how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtime, or communicating with families, you'll do so with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will help provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
Ideally, you'll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. However, your positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
