About Us

Spanning the historic streets of the "city of dreaming spires," the University of Oxford has been ranked the world\'s leading university for nine consecutive years. A place where centuries of tradition meet world-changing innovation, we offer you the chance to shape the future while working in an inspiring environment that promotes excellence. Here, you\'ll contribute to ground-breaking research that tackles global challenges - from advancing sustainability to pioneering healthcare solutions - and join a diverse, inclusive community that champions your wellbeing, development, and aspirations. Apply now to become part of our extraordinary legacy.

The provision of scholarships for postgraduate students is an area of crucial importance for the University. Student Fees and Funding (SFF)'s scholarships team assists in this by managing scholarship programmes and supporting other funding providers (such as colleges, academic departments, and external partners). SFF currently manages over 200 University scholarship programmes for 1,600 students, worth over £60m per year. This is a friendly and supportive team of 13 people.

What We Offer

Working at the University of Oxford offers several exclusive benefits, such as:

* 38 days of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) to support your wellbeing, with the option to purchase up to 10 extra days and additional leave after long service.
* One of the most generous family leave schemes in UK higher education, offering up to 26 weeks of full-pay maternity and adoption leave, plus 12 weeks of full-pay paternity/partner leave.
* A commitment to hybrid and flexible working to suit your lifestyle.
* An excellent contributory pension scheme.
* Affordable and sustainable commuting options, including a cycle loan scheme, discounted bus travel, and season ticket loans.
* Access to a vibrant community through our social, cultural, and sports clubs.

About the Role

In this role you\'ll be focused on supporting the Clarendon Fund, which is the University\'s largest postgraduate scholarship programme. Clarendon is focused on academic excellence and supports outstanding students across all subjects and from all across the world. You can read more about the Clarendon Fund at the following source: ox.ac.uk/clarendon.

Clarendon is large enough that there are two full-time members of the scholarships team focused on it and you\'ll work alongside our Student Funding Manager for Clarendon to ensure we provide a seamless service to our students and partners. Within the role you\'ll undertake a wide range of tasks from supporting the selection of new scholars, through to helping organise events and resolving scholars\' queries. You\'ll get to work with partners from across the University, and get to learn a lot about the University while doing so.

While we are ideally looking for someone who meets the selection criteria, we are also committed to offering development opportunities. Therefore if you don\'t tick all the boxes but have transferrable skills, and are motivated to develop and work with us, then we would welcome an application from you.

About You

To succeed in the role you will need to:

* Be well-organised, with good attention to detail.
* To work flexibly and effectively as part of a team.
* To be able to establish good working relationships with our partners.

Sponsorship and Right To Work

This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Application Process

To apply, please upload:

* A covering letter/supporting statement
* Your CV
* The details of two referees
