This is a substantive consultant post for a paediatric surgeon with an interest in colorectal surgery. There may be outreach sessions in NHS Lothian facilities at St John’s Hospital, Livingston, Leith Treatment Centre, Roodlands Hospital, Haddington, or other regional hubs in the future. The successful candidate will share the general paediatric surgical workload, including out-of-hours cover. There is an on-call commitment at 1 in 6 weeks and 1 in 8 weekends with prospective cover. Qualifications and eligibility
* Full GMC Registration, a licence to practise, and eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
* Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors are eligible to apply for a substantive post once awarded.
* Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
* Permanent, full-time post based in Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.
