We are currently seeking a reliable and vigilant Traffic Marshal to join our team in London on a part-time, temporary basis. This role is pivotal to ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic around our project sites and public areas, contributing significantly to the success of our operations. Role Overview As a Traffic Marshal, you will be the first point of contact for directing and managing vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely and efficiently. Your presence will help minimise risks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, providing reassurance to both the public and site personnel. Key Responsibilities Manage and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around construction sites, roadworks, and public areas. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment such as cones, barriers, and signage in accordance with site plans. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety policies, including the Highway Code and site-specific regulations. Communicate effectively with drivers, site teams, and the public to provide clear instructions and information. Report any incidents, hazards, or irregularities promptly to the site supervisor or relevant authorities. Support emergency procedures where necessary and assist in maintaining a safe working environment. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour at all times, representing CSP Ltd’s commitment to safety and service. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Traffic Marshal or similar role within the public sector or construction environments is highly desirable. Valid Traffic Management qualifications such as the Lantra Traffic Management Operative or equivalent certification. Good understanding of health and safety regulations, including the Highway Code. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to undertake any additional training required to maintain best practices.
