Accounts Assistant / Purchase LedgerTemp to Perm | Leigh (Wigan area) £14.00 per hour | Immediate StartPRS are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a busy and friendly finance team on a temp-to-perm basis, based in Leigh.This is a great opportunity for someone with purchase ledger experience who is looking for stability, progression, and the chance to secure a permanent role.Hours of Work
1. Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
2. Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
3. General maintenance of the Purchase Ledger, including setting up supplier accounts
4. Matching invoices daily to GRNs, worksheets, and purchase orders
5. Daily posting of invoices and credit notes onto Coins
6. Daily and monthly supplier statement reconciliations
7. Processing and issuing procurement orders
8. Ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time via BACS
9. Handling supplier queries promptly and professionally
10. Managing legal notices within required timeframes
11. Liaising with Contract Managers to ensure timely invoice approvals
12. Supporting daily post distribution for Finance and Operations teams
13. Filing and archiving documentation in line with company procedures
About You
14. Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
15. Good working knowledge of basic bookkeeping
16. Understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
17. Confident using MS Excel and Word
18. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
19. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
