Responsibilities
* Assist modality staff in preparing room for patient exams, to include stocking and cleaning of area.
* Contacts appropriate medical facilities, nursing units and other healthcare providers to obtain pertinent patient information/prior exam reports required for testing of patients.
* Distributes reports to physician offices and other healthcare providers as requested.
* Transports patients to maintain workflow and patient throughput when necessary.
* Assists patients to dressing areas if necessary.
* Assists with moving patients from stretcher to scanners/patient movement.
* Coordinates paperwork/reports on patients throughout the department and to Radiologists.
* Delivers oral contrast to other areas of the hospital for patient prep prior to testing.
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
A High School diploma required. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
