Site Quality Officer – Chemistry
As a Site Quality Officer, you support the Chemistry Quality Manager in maintaining and enhancing the ALS Quality Management System. Your responsibilities include conducting audits, reviewing validation protocols and reports, ensuring SOP compliance, leading investigations, tracking non‑compliance, managing the proficiency testing program, overseeing equipment calibration schedules, delivering staff training, and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives across the site.
Contract Details
* Contract Type: Full‑Time, Permanent, On‑site
* Working Days: Monday to Friday
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Location: Chatteris
Day to Day Tasks
* Assist with the review and amendment of SOPs, and authorise the issue of documents.
* Ensure all SOPs and procedures are current, and staff are trained on updated procedures.
* Coordinate and document investigations, ensuring timely submission and completion in line with ALS procedures.
* Perform corrective/preventive actions for non‑conforming work, complaints, and internal audits, followed by effectiveness checks.
* Perform internal audits, spot checks, and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Essential Qualifications
* A degree in a Science‑related field is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and technical skills, with a solid understanding of validation protocols and procedures.
* A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively both within the team and with external clients.
* Good organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines.
* High computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* The ability to remain objective and uphold quality standards in challenging situations.
