Job Description
REED Accountancy and Finance are looking for a TEMP (Potential to go Perm) Finance Officer, to work 4 or 5 days within a rapidly growing Home Care Agency based near to Ringwood. This role will support the Operations Director across all bookkeeping, payroll and finance functions. Please see below:
Finance Officer Salary: £15.00 to £18.00 per hour Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm or possibility for 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Administration
* Maintain accurate ledgers for the business and its subsidiaries.
* Record and reconcile organisational bank accounts.
* Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* File VAT and other regulatory returns.
* Generate and process client invoices, manage credit control, and liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure healthy cashflow.
Payroll
* Manage and process payroll for employees and paid workforce.
* Ensure correct calculation of salaries, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
* Work closely with our managed payroll services provider to resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
* Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings a proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to the finance function. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper, including managing ledgers and financial records.
* Strong understanding of reconciliation principles and accounting best practice.
* Experience using Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Strong communication skills for working with staff, clients, and suppliers.
* Knowledge of payroll compliance and regulations (desirable but not essential).
