Role
The role supports the delivery of high quality financial planning, analysis and reporting. You’ll work closely with Head of FP&A IT, BU finance teams and the business to provide strategic insight, challenge assumptions and support commercial decision making across IT.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop close relationships within IT to become a key influencer in decision making and drive accountability for value generation, offering both guidance and challenge to decisions.
* Understand and improve performance through analytics, variance review and scenario planning with outputs that support strategic planning, forecasting and decision making.
* Work with Change delivery leads to prepare project budgets and provide actuals and update forecasts, helping senior stakeholders understand the value story of IT.
* Provide financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders, for example, seek and support implementation of opportunities for improvements in cost effectiveness.
* Lead in the preparation of monthly management reporting, rolling forecasts, budgets and long term plans to include opex, capex and depreciation. Conducting in-depth variance and trend analysis, offering actionable insights to senior leaders.
What You Bring
* A fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience in a business-facing finance role.
* Skilled in interpreting complex data and translating it into actionable insight.
* A confident leader, engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
* Experienced in Process and System improvements.
* Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of energy market-facing assets.
