Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms offering unparalleled opportunities for talented individuals in search of a rewarding career. We offer more than just a job — we offer an opportunity to make a difference and shape the world to benefit future generations and the environment.

Our UK Environment Practice, with approximately 600 professionals, provides world-class consultancy and advisory services. We focus on outcomes for our clients facing challenges like climate change, social inclusion, and urbanization. Our work influences decision-making and project delivery in a changing world.

We seek an experienced individual with a proven track record in delivering and managing EIA projects. Our current projects include renewable energy schemes (solar, wind, hydroelectric), fuel production and energy storage, major infrastructure projects, rail, military site master planning, water infrastructure, and coastal defenses.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression. You will collaborate with technical specialists, lead and coordinate EIAs, work closely with clients, develop new business, and mentor team members.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in an environmental discipline, likely be chartered, and possess comprehensive knowledge of EIA processes and large infrastructure project assessments. We provide ongoing training and mentorship to support your development.

Responsibilities:

* Lead coordination and delivery of environmental work, including EIAs and assessments;
* Manage teams of environmental professionals;
* Oversee project programme and budget management;
* Promote high environmental standards within engineering projects;
* Ensure quality and timeliness of own and others' work;
* Manage client relationships confidently and professionally;
* Lead bid preparations and develop new business areas;
* Engage in CPD activities as per professional requirements;
* Mentor and support staff development.

Requirements:

* Degree or Masters in environmental or science field;
* Experience in delivering EIAs for major infrastructure projects;
* Knowledge of UK EIA legislation and processes;
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams;
* Strong report writing, presentation, and review skills;
* Ability to prioritize and work under pressure;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Flexibility and adaptability, willingness to work at different locations;
* Self-motivated with enthusiasm for sustainable outcomes.

What we offer:

We support flexible working arrangements and value diversity. Our benefits include a competitive salary, 25 days leave plus holidays, and options to buy or sell leave. We provide comprehensive training and support for professional development, including achieving relevant memberships.

Additional Information:

This role may require security clearance, dependent on UKSV vetting processes, including proof of residency for 5+ years. Please do not mention existing security clearances in your application.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, offering family-friendly policies, flexible work, and employee networks. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
