Pay Range: $76,300.00 - $113,600.00
Job Summary
Location: Stockton and Woodland, CA
This role supports two solid fuels power plant sites in Stockton, CA, and Woodland, CA, with responsibilities split between the two locations. The position involves implementing and overseeing safety programs, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and expertise in training, auditing, hazard identification, and control. Reports to the Assistant Plant Manager and functionally to the corporate Safety department.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop, administer, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures
* Create and deliver safety reports and presentations
* Develop and present safety training and educational programs
* Conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards
* Lead proactive safety activities
* Interface with regulatory agencies and vendors to ensure compliance
* Monitor regulations for future impacts on operations
* Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field + 3 years of practical safety experience
* Or Associate's degree + 5 years of experience
* Or high school diploma + 7 years of experience
Other Qualifications (Preferred)
* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations
* Teamwork and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ability to collaborate with leaders and teams
