Deputy Operations Manager Location: Truro (Hybrid – 4-day working week)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with operations or team leadership experience—ideally within a regulated or professional environment—who is looking for a flexible, people-focused role within a high performing business.
You’ll enjoy a 4-day working week, split between home and office, and take on a vital position supporting the strategic direction and daily operations of the firm.
The Role Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll ensure the business operates efficiently and in line with best practices. You'll provide day-to-day operational oversight, especially in the absence of the Operations Manager, and take responsibility for areas such as team performance, process improvement, marketing coordination, compliance, and client service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Operations & People Management
• Support key business functions: administration, marketing, business development, and paraplanning
• Help manage team workflows and ensure consistent performance
• Train and support new admin staff
• Monitor business trends and client data to identify opportunities
Support compliance with licensing, CPD, and regulatory standards
Process & Project Management
• Help implement new systems and software
• Manage end-to-end processes across client onboarding and service
• Drive specific internal projects to improve operations
Contribute to annual marketing plans and digital strategy
• Manage online presence (website, LinkedIn, directories)
• Previous experience in an operational, office management, or team lead role
• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. finance, legal, insurance) is desirable
• Familiarity with CRM or client management systems
• Marketing or project management experience preferred
Strong IT skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
