Job Description:

Be our Project Renovations Specialist but most importantly be you!

Voted into the Times 100 best places to stay 2024, our beautiful hotel is nestled within 30 acres of Wiltshire countryside, Bishopstrow is the place for exuberance and enjoyment. The whimsical country house hotel offers gregarious rooms, a huge spa, and a brand new restaurant blending Georgian elegance with bright colours and fun.

What’s it like to work with us? We’re not your average country house hotel. Think grand chandeliers, bold wallpapers, statement furniture, and a lot of personality. We’re about to renovate 10–12 of our bedrooms, and we need a skilled all-rounder to help bring the owner’s creative and quirky vision to life.

You’ll be hands-on with every stage of the renovation — from carpentry and tiling to plumbing and decorative finishing. One day you might be hanging wallpaper with exotic prints; the next, fitting a chandelier or installing custom furniture.

We stand for being big-hearted, respectful of each other, our guests, and the community. Plus, we are always serious about giving our guests a bloody good time!

In return, what you’ll be doing as Projects Renovations Specialist...

* This is a practical, on-the-tools role requiring love and attention to maintain our facilities. Enjoy variety, creativity, and the satisfaction of completing projects that transform spaces.
* Work closely with the owner and management to carry out renovations from concept to completion, ensuring craftsmanship and attention to detail.
* Focus on cost-effective, efficient practices.
* Carry out carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, and general renovation work across 10–12 guest bedrooms.
* Install fixtures and fittings, including bespoke furniture, chandeliers, wall coverings, and design elements.
* Prepare and finish surfaces with painting, wallpapering, and decorative work to specifications.
* Follow the owner’s instructions to realize their creative and unconventional design vision.
* Coordinate with external contractors or suppliers as needed.
* Manage timelines and work efficiently to complete rooms on schedule.

What happens next with your application?

Attract our attention with your application, and we’ll call you. After a phone chat, you can expect an invitation to meet the team for a Team Insight — ask questions, and we’ll ask you some too. If all goes well, you might just become part of our team!
