We are currently recruiting for a Communications Officer in Belfast. Start date: ASAP Rate of pay: £17.43 per hour Duration: Until 05/06/2026 possible extension Location: Belfast - Goodwood House Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Main Duties: Main Duties of Communications Officer The main duties for the EO1 role would include: Producing a broad range of online and offline communication activities, such as organisational web content, publications, staff newsletters and delivery of staff engagement activities and events e.g. staff surveys, presentations, staff engagement initiatives. Contributing to the development and implementation of Integr8 communication plans for internal and/or external messaging. Supporting the communication and engagement activities for the delivery of Integr8. Producing innovative creative content for digital and non-digital channels to achieve Integr8 communication objectives. Content includes videos, animations, infographics, audio, photographs, and blogs. Identifying and addressing accessibility needs of online communication products across communications channels such as staff intranets, Departmental websites, and other relevant communications. Using data, including analytic software and user feedback, to monitor and analyse channel and platform performance and make recommendations for improvement. Communicating with key stakeholders and graphic design partners to develop specific Integr8 messaging and products. Contributing to the process of responding to or providing part-input to Freedom of Information requests (FOIs), Assembly Questions (AQ)s, and other requests, as relevant. Building strong relationships with a wide range of staff and stakeholders to fully understand, advise on and deliver organisational marketing and communication needs. Maintaining an awareness of industry developments in internal communication techniques and practices, in order to ensure Interg8 remains up to date in this field. Working closely with communications colleagues in Department of Finance and across other NICS Departments. This list is not exhaustive. Essential Criteria applicants must have: 1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years of working in a communications team; AND 2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years of producing a range of written material to support a variety of publications and online communications, including social media; AND 3. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years of working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders; AND 4. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years of using multimedia packages to convey key messages to a range of audiences and monitoring and analysing the impact; - 5 GCSE's at grade C and above including Maths and English & 2 A Levels - Must complete an Access NI
