This is an exciting opportunity for a band 5 professionally registered clinician to work within the CAMHS Early Help Pathway working with Children, Young people and families as a CAMHSEarly Help Practitioner. This role will be joining an already established team within the CAMHS service supporting provision of early intervention services within CAMHS early help working with Families and young people providing assessments and targeted short term interventions of up to 8 sessions within the I-THRIVE model, focusing on early intervention.
The postholder is responsible for supporting the emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of children and young people with a drive for early intervention, enabling cultural change in the way first contact services can support children and young people with mental health problems. Inline with 2015 Future in Mind strategic vision for CAMHS the post holder will actively promote resilience, prevention and early intervention to children and young people in the community.
This role will include some consultation aspects to the role and contribute to the CAMHS advice line as part of the continued provision of Mental health services for Child, Young people and families.
This role involves a hybrid model of working with access to office/clinical space as well as some ability to work remotely.
This role will require a professional registration.
Main Duties of the Job
* Work as part of the early help pathway locality to support children and young people presenting emerging mental health difficulties.
* Deliver evidence‑based targeted interventions (1‑1 and group) in a timely manner, using Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS).
* Provide timely assessments, including risk management, for children and young people.
* Represent CAMHS in multi‑agency meetings (EHAT, SEND, child protection) to oversee the mental health element of multi‑agency plans.
* Participate in the delivery of training programmes for schools and community services.
* Maintain standards of care to the highest level within available resources.
* Actively participate in line management with senior and junior staff.
* Liaise effectively with CAMHS pathways across the city.
* Develop and maintain relationships with statutory and non‑statutory providers.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding young people at all times.
* Communicate clearly with children, young people, families and other health professional groups about mental health concerns.
* Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives such as clinical audit.
* Encourage child and young people participation in decision‑making and person‑centred planning.
* Provide mentorship for students and serve as supervisor/assessor.
* Contribute to early help assessment clinics to ensure timely access to assessments and targeted interventions.
* Support the delivery of evidence‑based parenting programmes for children and young people with mental health issues.

Qualifications
* Core degree qualification in any mental health modality such as nursing, social work or OT with relevant experience of working with children and young people in mental health.
* Appropriate professional registration relevant to professional qualification (e.g. NMC, HCPC).
* Post‑graduate training qualification in methods of working with children with mental health problems, e.g. counselling, systemic practice or post‑grad diploma in child and adolescent mental health.
* Clinical supervisor and assessor training to support students on placements or willingness to undertake this training as part of the role.
Circumstances
* Ability to frequently travel independently and in a timely manner between Livewell Southwest sites and community locations, including areas not served by public transport.
* Ability to work flexibly (hours of work and duties) both as an individual and across Livewell if required.
