Your Role as an Art and Design Teacher:
* Design Inspiring Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging art and design lessons that spark imagination and cater to diverse learning styles.
* Encourage Creative Expression: Teach students aged 11–16, helping them explore various artistic techniques, media, and cultural influences.
* Lead Artistic Enrichment: Organise and support extracurricular art clubs, exhibitions, and creative workshops that showcase student talent.
* Support Student Growth: Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
* Foster an Inclusive Studio: Create a welcoming and respectful classroom environment where every student feels empowered to express themselves.
* Promote Safe Practice: Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all practical activities and studio work.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified and Creative: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
* Welcoming to ECTs: Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
* Experienced Educator: A strong background in teaching art and design at the secondary level.
* Excellent Communicator: Able to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Inspiring Mentor: Passionate about nurturing artistic talent and building student confidence.
* Innovative Thinker: Committed to fresh, dynamic approaches to art education and visual storytelling.
* Desirable Extras: Additional training or specialisms in areas like digital art, sculpture, or photography are a plus.
