We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant (Mobile) to support cleaning services across multiple healthcare sites in Northeast London.
Contract: Fixed term – 6 months
Salary: £14.27 per hour (£27,901 per annum, pro‑rata)
Location: Barking and surrounding sites, Northeast London
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The role requires flexibility to cover early morning shifts (from 5:00am) and evening shifts (up to approximately 9:30pm).
1. A clean manual driving licence is desirable but not essential
2. A standard DBS check is required
Key Responsibilities
This role will involve maintaining cleanliness to NHS National Cleaning Standards, completing legionella flushing and accurately recording all activity, managing and disposing of waste safely, and using and maintaining cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, floor machines and steam cleaners. The postholder will also ensure all equipment is compliant with COSHH requirements, report any faults through NHSPS systems, and replenish cleaning consumables as needed.

Where you’ll be
You will work across several local sites, including Barking Community Hospital, Barking Community Diagnostic Centre, Loxford Polyclinic and Sir Ludwig Guttmann Health and Wellbeing Centre. There may also be opportunities to support other nearby locations within the wider portfolio when required.
