We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as normal a life as possible. To help them achieve this, you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep-ins.
Responsibilities include participating in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment. You will maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality. Supporting service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events is also required. You will maintain accurate notes and records as needed and work as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
Requirements include a Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues is preferred. Candidates should be able to stay calm under pressure, work independently or as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills. A passion for working with vulnerable adults, along with a commitment to safeguarding, is essential.
